FG approves reopening of universities, polytechnics, and unity schools across the country starting from October 12. The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the resumption of all Federal schools on the twelfth of October 2020. The purpose of the reopening, is to give students who have been at home since the outbreak of the global pandemic, a chance to complete their academic session which will end in December 2020. Schools that have not concluded their 2nd term examination are to round off and commence 3rd term immediately which is expected to end in December 2020. The Minister of Education; Adamu Adamu conveyed this message in a letter signed on Wednesday in Lagos state, Nigeria.
