Why Adamu Garba wants the Universty of Nigeria Nsukka Renamed

Adamu Garba, who is the spokesperson of the FG and arguably the unelected president of Nigeria who often speak on behalf of president Buhari, has taken to social media to mock Igbos with an ‘insider-joke’.

Adamu Garba trolled Igbos by suggesting the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, should be renamed Queen Elizabeth II University in honour of the late Queen of England. Despite the sudden debate on social media questioning why Africans are morning the Queen of an Imperialist Empire that exploited them for many generations.

To understand the nature of his trolling; Two days ago, a US professor of Igbo heritage Uju Anya wished Her Majesty an “excruciating death” hours before her death was announced. She gave her reasons for expressing such disdain for the English monarch because of the part the British actively played in supporting the Nigeria government in the Biafra Civil Conflict where 3 million people were lost (mostly due to starvation). The Igbo wanted independence from Nigeria, while the British wanted to keep exploiting Nigerian oil via BP (British Petroleum) so they gave the Nigerian government 2 million dollars DAILY for the duration of the war. The Queen never spoke out against the actions the policies of her government.

The University of NIGERA is located in Igboland (as a sign of unity), a name that sound like it is the foremost university. If we say the University of South Africa or the University of Kanya, the University of Nigeria is in Nsukka so the tribalist Adamu Garba took this time to troll the Igbos to name the university after someone many of them sees as their oppressor. Indeed Adamu Garba’s heart is wicked and I suspect he abuses substances at the privacy of his home but often come on social media when high.

Below is the video narration of the above write-up (for those who don't have the time or opportunity to read through).
